New NAVEKSA release - Features & functions 2015, November - Version 8.04.02 _________________________________________________________________________________ The 8.04.02 version contains a number of additional features further strengthening NAVEKSA SHOPFLOORSFS, CADCONNECTPML and ITEMPLANNINGIVD for optimising your production and logistics. Valid for Dynamics NAV version 2013, 2013R2, 2015 and 2016 all service packs.

The new features in summary:

SHOPFLOORSFS 1. Setting up the client is now carried out from the client itself, the first time you start it. The password in the new version is encrypted and will not be visible in the configuration file.

4. Communication between operators and the planning department by the use of standard NAV notes is now possible. The operator can now write a message regarding the operation to a specific person in the planning department, directly from the screen. The message will then be visible on the production order in NAV, or in the user role center in NAV, if the message is addressed to a specific person.

5. Now you can optionally change the warehouse (storage) location in the client.

6. The lot and serial number management has been updated, facilitating automatic lot- and serial number assignment from the client, similar to the functionality in NAV.

7. Flexible allocation of time at breaks and partial completion of family production are now accommodated.

8. Up to 10 optional user fields can now be added to the NAVEKSA SHOPFLOOR Client.

9. A simplified overview of any error messages is now available.

11. The option to set up automatic posting of ”New capacity items” and ”Output journals” via batch-job through a scheduled job in Windows is now available. 12. Improved opportunities for the display of drawings and documents in the NAVEKSA SHOPFLOOR client means that link documents from both the item, production order or shared folder documents, can be displayed. Also in a combination from the various sources.

13. You can now use bar code devices for reading serial and lot numbers.

14. You can change field headings in the SHOPFLOOR floor client to suit your individual text needs.

ITEM PLANNINGIVD 1. The display of component shortages at lower levels, gives the user the opportunity to see what resultant impact this has on end item sales orders.

The screen dump shows an overview of planned customer order deliveries (Warning) that might be questioned regarding promised delivery because of lower level component shortages.

2. Both the item and the BOM profile are now supporting the inclusion of assembly orders and the need of assembly components. 3. Return sales orders and return purchase orders are now included in the profile of the item. 4. More tracing/tracking functions and direct access to the ITEMPLANNING BOM facility has been added in a convenient way, by pressing the â&#x20AC;&#x153;Lineâ&#x20AC;? button of the ITEMPLANNING item screen.

Pressing this button gives immediate access to: Availability= Determine BOM delivery date for a quantity and date in question. Refresh Planning line= Used when simulated quantity on a MRP line needs to be updated in the standard NAV Planning sheet. When updating, the user gets the option of just updating the planning sheet line, or update and re-calculate lower level planned orders and requirements for the changed line.

Show sales orders= End-item-sales-orders-where-used inquiry, where component shortages reduce the probability of the promised delivery date being achieved. Expressed as a “Warning” = Needs further investigation.

CADCONNECTPML 1. Overall functionality has been improved. 2. Single level BOM-(Bill of Material) can only be changed at its own level preventing multiple, unintended “where-used” updates. 3. A new feature for the creation of cost prices for new, purchased raw materials and components in standard NAV has been added. 4. 7. Support for using standard NAV item variants. E.g. to be used when only generic raw material numbers are available and decisions about the exact material specification need to be made at the BOM creation.
